Here is a little baby shower poem I have written...
I am thankful to you for taking time out to come to my daddy's and mommy's shower. I would like all of you to relax and enjoy yourself. I wish I could have been with you but right now I am very busy painting my nails, eyes and cheeks and combing my hair so that my mommy and daddy will be proud of me. I would like to see you again after the stork leaves me with my mommy and daddy. Please remember to give my daddy and mommy enough time to dress me up.
It takes just a little to make people happy; this is something that I have learned in life. You could thank the guests who have attended your shower party by a simple gesture i.e. by giving a baby shower favor.
Favors are not a requirement but it certainly is a splendid way to show the guests that their presence has been appreciated. When choosing favors, think about whom your guests are and choose the appropriate favor fitting their interests and personalities.
Kept as a souvenir or just something that helps people remember the event, these baby shower favors can be even made at home (provided you are a creatively inclined). Of course honestly it isn't difficult at all, all you need to do is wrap some colored candies in tulle closing the pack with a blue, white, yellow, pink or any other pastel colored ribbon...now isn't that easy?
If you like cooking and do an excellent job, then you could bake some cookies and chocolates in baby theme shapes. The list is endless; you could make cradles, rattles, baby bottles and teddy bears and a whole lot of other things. Yes, these delicious edibles will be consumed really soon but the guests will always recall the yummy and sweet event.
You could also purchase sachets of fragrant soaps that are available in a wide range of shapes and colors and package them in gift bags or decorative boxes for each guest. You could also wrap them individually and arrange them in a basket serving as a decoration and letting everyone pick their own.
Use cheap favors like miniature diapers, soup and cookies mix, scented and decorative candles, baby booties and baby bottles and fill them with small candies or chocolates. To wrap these favors, use individual tissue paper packs that are available in pastel colors and baby themed decorative mini bags.
There are a lot of cheap, cute and colorful party favors that can be found in the market today. You could choose from iced tea packets, bookmarks, little fruit baskets and little mint boxes. These favors can be personalized too. They are already packed in cute boxes, but if you would like to add your personal touch you could use simple satin cloth or pastel wrapping paper.
